WAIT A MINUTE! It is July??? What The FruityPebbles just happened??? It was May last time I checked... We went from do nothing because of stupid COVID to so crazy ass busy my hair is on fire. No wait that was the dining room... Oh so much to tell. So. First of all, let me get this off my chest... I STILL HAVE NOT PAINTED THE REST OF THE LIVING ROOM! SO QUIT BUGGING ME ABOUT IT! J/K no one is bugging me about it but me. I am telling myself painting indoors is for fall, when it is not so hot or cold and you can have the windows open. Yeah, that's it. Phew. I feel better. Secondly, it's not like I have been doing nothing... remember... hair on fire and shit! So here is the list of things I have been up to... 1. Painted the deck and then "decked" it out with good stuff. (Photo's to come.) 2. Tons of yard work and planted an entire new perennial garden and vegetable garden. (Photo's to come.) 3. Rented a dumpster and cleaned out the garage! THIS WAS CATHARTIC! (No photo's coming because it still needs some work.) 4. Revamped the pantry... OMG it is so much better. (Photo's to come.) 5. Toss in a couple funerals, a baby shower, and my dad being in the hospital and that about sums up what has been keeping me crazy busy. (Umm, and did I mention that TWO babies will be joining our family this fall!!!! WOOT WOOT!) I can not wait. (Baby photo's to come!) Wow... It's like one day it was COVID and then the next day we were catapulted right back into the insanity we had preCOVID. I can tell you truthfully, I don't like it. I am hoping that things will settle down again and balance out. We have been busy trying to get a lot done around here and that is good, because I just want stuff to be done. I want to be able to just sit on the deck and drink a lemonade with basil (which I grow in my garden BTW, which is absolutely delicious, which was turned on to me by my friend Katy S.) Thanks Katy! Deep breath. I don't want to lose the lessons from COVID. COVID sucked, don't get me wrong. And it could have been so much worse for us... we were fortunate. But I do think the slowing down and simpler life stuff was good for us and for many people. I want that. Sit around, hang out, see the people you love, eat good stuff and drink lemonade with basil in my new/old daisy flower drinking glasses. (Photo's to come.) So photo's to come... remember I need a new phone. (winky face) P.S. Did I mention the fire? What about getting engaged... Have a said anything about that either? Oh man I am behind! More to come, so stay tuned. Until next time, enjoy this lovely picture of a toad butt! I found it hanging out, kind of literally, by my garden hose in a small hole in the foundation. I also found some kind of animal skeleton. But I wont post a picture of that. Gross! Watch for the outdoor revamp photos coming soon! Until then try the lemonade and basil. You'll thank me, or well, thank Katy. And if you need some pretty vintage glasses to drink it from, maybe check out our shop or a second hand store near you!
TTFN!

Our mom was a junker.... We are junkers too. We like "Good Stuff" like old tablecloths, pretty plates, things with snarky sayings, painted furniture, and pretty much anything with a story to tell. This is our story, or what we like to call "Our Tale." You can find even more stories here on these blog pages about "re" design ideas I try, and all the mistakes I make along the way! Categories
