Knock, Knock. Who's There? NEW Blue Front Door!

So I'M NOT READY to finish the living room yet... Which meant I needed to start another project I guess. Do I have attention issues to go along with my hoarding?
Maybe.
But the ugly grubby front door was really bugging me, so I went and got some gorgeous blue paint (pictures don't do it justice, which is why I need a new phone... legit! Not just for retail therapy!) And I painted the doors blue. All of them!

Let me come in!

Pretty blue front door.
I used Behr Premium Plus paint in a satin finish exterior paint. The color is called Very Navy. I purchased it at Home Depot. I bought a gallon and I have quite a bit leftover.

Prep & Paint
I love this color so much I decided to paint the storm door as well. I live in MN and we have WINTER folks... That means storm doors are kind of a good idea. This one was incredibly ugly. I really hate storm doors, but they really do help keep drafts down in winter and they help with summer when you run your air. So I thought, hey I am just going to try painting this and see what happens. I was considering buying a new one, so if paint didn't help I was fine with replacing it. But VIOLA'!
I think it turned out pretty good!

the knob and doorbell finish it off so well
I spray-painted the knob and the doorbell with some Rust-Oleum Oil Rubbed Bronze spray-paint. They were both all chipped up and nasty looking. This really made a big difference! I will clean up the inside of the storm door now and probably paint it white like the back of the front door that faces into the living room.

A blue storm door!
I have a new outdoor light to put up, the fake rock fascia is getting replaced too (when I figure out what I want) and I will get to work on painting the porch floor soon! So I guess stay tuned for those reveals too. Man I have work to do! But anyway, I am just thrilled that the storm door painted up so well. I will let you know how it holds up. Let me know what you think!
