I Got COVID for Christmas... sort of.

I had a BIG MAKE & BAKE day planned for my family a couple of weeks before Christmas... and guess what.
Yep. COVID.
And yes I was vaccinated... and probably due for a booster. But I got COVID instead. No idea where/who/how etc.
And I do believe the vaccine helped so I didn't get SUPER SICK, BUT IT DID SLOW ME DOWN. I missed baking and making day... (sad face) and I missed girls weekend for concert/casino night... BUT... I did get to spend Christmas with my family as I was out of quarantine by then. (HAPPY FACE)

This was our first Christmas in the new house, and I was super excited to decorate. I put up two sorta skinny trees, which quickly became cat playgrounds. And then some various other things around the rooms. Including the SNOWBABIES my mom had bought for me many years ago. It all looks very pretty. I will be sad to take it down. I think I will leave the "winter"  stuff up for a while. You will see much of my decor is from gifts people have given me or "good stuff" I find when thrifting... Some might be from Target or places like Hobby Lobby, but most likely I bought it on clearance or for sure on sale.

So if you are looking for re-purposed things for your next Christmas displays be sure to check out your local thrift stores... And if you happen to be close to THE SHOP be sure to stop in a check things out... We are way overdue for switching things up so there is a good chance there are still plenty of Christmas items in our booth!

I hope you all had a wonderful COVID FREE Christmas and I wish you a wonderful New Year!

    Our mom was a junker....
    We are junkers too.
We like "Good Stuff" like old tablecloths, pretty plates, things with snarky sayings, painted furniture, and pretty much anything with a story to tell.
This is our story, or what we like to call
     "Our Tale."
