Pumpkin Day 2023 was held inside this year as it was quite cold outside. But we did get some leaf raking in. Sophie and I made ghost pretzels and Oreo/Resse's bats. On the menu was broccoli cheddar soup, chicken wild rice soup, and other yummies. We had Apple Fizzy and Cranberry Margarita cocktails. We carved and painted pumpkins, painted monster stain-glass window ornaments, and made leaf bowls with modeling clay. (And other things...) There were some shenanigans... as always. But it was a super fun day!
Shenanigans: Someone put wiggly eyes on the bunny in my bathroom!
"I always feel like somebody's watching me!" Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

Last year we had to cancel cookie/craft day because I had stupid COVID. But not this year! We had so much fun making and decorating cookies, being crafty making little snow globes and gnomes. Brinley and Shelby are pretty proud of their designs. Heide and I were working hard! Jordan gave the day a big thumbs up! Lesson Learned: Have everyone make a couple dozen cookies a head of time and do a cookie exchange and then just sit around and chat and make crafts. Might be way easier and less messy! This year I wanted to host a fun fall family day so I could hang out with my family and do some fun fall things like carving pumpkins, make crafts, and see the grand-babies in their little costumes. I made a big crockpot of sloppy joes and we hung out all day eating, carving, painting, and playing in leaves! It was AWESOME! Hope your Halloween is awesome!

Our mom was a junker.... We are junkers too. We like "Good Stuff" like old tablecloths, pretty plates, things with snarky sayings, painted furniture, and pretty much anything with a story to tell. This is our story, or what we like to call "Our Tale." You can find even more stories here on these blog pages about "re" design ideas I try, and all the mistakes I make along the way! Categories
